Recommended Albums: November 2025

Well November is nearly a full month past and I still need to put out my Best of 2025 lists, so putting this up rather unceremoniously so I can get my Best of stuff going. November was a good month for new music though, you’ll see a few of the records below in my main list. See you soon!

Hatchie – Liquorice [Secretly Canadian]
Smiling and rosy-cheeked as you slide and tumble your way down an iced-over snowy hill.

Juana Molina – DOGA [Sonamos]
Plucked flowers start to orbit around you like satellites, soon enough you’ve created a dense meteor field of dandelions, daisies, roses and more as you walk down a city sidewalk.

Kalia Vandever – Another View [Northern Spy]
Maneuvering through a palatial estate attempting to deliver one dozen bowls of soup. A maze of doorways into various perfumed salons, down padded stairwells lined with old picture frames, and across lengthy, window-lined hallways.

Lawrence Hart – ASKING FOR A FRIEND [Double Six]
A DJ has converted his body into pure electricity and will select records, banging from your power sockets and making your lights pulsate in time.

Oneohtrix Point Never – Tranquilizer [Warp]
Navigating dead webpages in a submersible fit for the internet, trawling various links and forums for any signs of remaining life.

Rosalía – LUX [Columbia]
Medieval valkyries and sirens spill out from a secret tomb beneath a throbbing night club, their songs and powers stemming from the subterranean beats they’d heard for hundreds of years.

Sessa – Pequena Vertigem de Amor [Mexican Summer]
Through an inconspicuous doorway you’ll walk into a small, dusty room filled with plants bathed from a skylight. One man is playing nylon-stringed guitar in a back corner and you can’t quite tell where. You sit down and become part of it all.

SML – How You Been [International Anthem]
A trio of giants scheme on how best to fit themselves through a small doorway without breaking it, utilizing advanced math and physics in their pursuit.

Sword II – Electric Hour [section1]
A group of graduating high school seniors set things in motion to protect the younger classes from the clutches of an evil corporation that moved into town a few years back, seeping wretched oils into the consciousnesses of the townsfolk.

Westerman – A Jackal’s Wedding [Partisan]
The only resident left in an ancient coastal town recites its entire oral history once again to an empty amphitheater overlooking the coast and its safeguarding craggy cliffs.

No GR8 TRACKS this month – trying to get through everything! Thanks for reading!
