This blog has essentially become a Friendly Fires fanblog, but who cares when they put out bangers like this? “Lack Of Love” is a cover of a classic, acid-touched dance cut from 1988 by Charles B. and Adonis, a tune the band has adored for many years. They decided to pay tribute to the jam and I think they do it justice in spades. Ed Macfarlane’s vocals are a bit subdued in the beginning, but they break out eventually near the end of the track. Classics transcending time and space, baby!
