The second playlist in my fall 2026 trip hop series goes into a more dreamy, ethereal territory compared to the last entry, Brutalist Kiss. This one dips a bit into the pop and shoegaze zone, with names like Fiona Apple, Madonna (who was on the last playlist, to be fair), Sade, and Dido appearing in the mix here, along with some lesser-known names (to me, anyways) like Beauty’s Confusion and Isabel’s Dream.

I had a lot of fun putting this one together and I hope you similarly have an enjoyable time listening to it as you imagine a world coated in cellophane, warping light and texture into something somewhat intangible in a way.
