The Summer of Garage Rock rolls on, this time with a psych rock-embedded playlist, with artists like Papercuts, Amen Dunes, Tame Impala, Wooden Shjips, Psychic Ills and more coming together for a sweltering, vision shifting experience exploring natural and blasted-out canyons in the American southwest. It delves into some indie rock here and there, and honestly a bit out of the garage rock realm, but it’s all about adjacents here. Sinews of genre connecting everything together.

And yes the title is a reference to Avatar the Last Airbender. It’ll quench ya!

Lastly, I’m quite proud of the art I made for this installment. Truthfully I plug in a few images into this photo editor I’ve been using since 2013 and hope to get something good by overlaying other images and effects onto it. This looks like a black and white, or two-tone photo that had color painted into it, exactly what I wanted. Something reminiscent of old prospector towns.
