Dark sonic sorcerers LEYA are BACK with a new tune after flooring me and many others with their 2020 LP Flood Dream. The new track “Glass Jaw” features a rare collab with singer/songwriter Julie Byrne, offering some smoky guest vocals on the back half of the track.

Per LEYA standards, the song is immersed in a shadowy, ambiguous cloak of buzzing, detuned strings, that are just enough off-kilter from serenity that it makes for a skin-crawling experience. Vocalists Adam Markiewicz and Julie Byrne paw through the dark expanse, setting a despair-laden scene in a short amount of time. No word of an album or anything, but if they continue the magic they cooked up in 2020, I’m all in.
